There are many wonderful day trips within easy access of the Fort Resort. Explore the historic city of Bhaktapur, the third royal city within the Kathmandu valley complete with its own Durbar Square. This fascinating city is so beautiful, the whole city is a world heritage site. Changu Narayan Temple is a masterpiece of the 4th century Nepali art and architecture and is also a world heritage site. Or visit the picturesque Newari town of Sankhu and its famous VajraJogini temple.

To DhadGaon village via KartikeBhanjyang and back to The Fort. (3 hours approx.)

ToGaireGaon village and back via old Tibet Trade Route. (4 and half hours approx.)

To the View Tower and back by alternate trail. (3 and halfhours approx.)

Full Day Trek: Picnic on the Southern Ridge of Nagarkot hills and return via alternate route. (Full day program)

Jeep Drive from The Fort to View Tower (20 minutes drive) and hike down to medieval town of Nala. Excursion around NalaBhagavati, Karunamaya and town of Banepa. Drive back to The Fort Resort. (Full day program)

Trek to ancient, 4th Century temple complex of ChanguNarayan (4 hours approx.) and drive back via Bhaktapur. (Full day program)

From The Fort trek down to a medieval town Sankhu (4 and half hours). Excursion around ancient Sankhu - Vajrayogim (the powerful female Buddhist deity). Trek up to Telkot and drive back to The Fort. (Full day program)

Trek toBageshwori (Manjushree) and further to ChanguNarayan. Drive back to The Fort Resort. (Full day program)

Trek to Sankhu via JaringhPauwa - Lapsiphedi and drive back

Jeep Drive excursion to Nepal - China border and Natural Hot Spring and back.

Excursion drive around Kathmandu (Patan, SwayambhuNath, PashupatiNath), Bhaktapur and back to The Fort. (Full day program)
